We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Practice Group Administrator to join our Public Law & Regulatory Compliance team.
This role is central to the smooth operation of the Practice Group, providing direct support to the Practice Group Leader and acting as the key administrative liaison between Business Services and the team.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a broad range of responsibilities, from coordinating legal support and managing team leave to monitoring internal processes and upholding firm policies.

You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting our lawyers, and contributing to the overall success of the Practice Group. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
* Managing Practice Group based events, including but not limited to training, meetings, social events etc.
* Coordination and tracking of CPD for practitioners and other training requirements for the Practice Group.
* Coordination and processing of leave approvals.
* Preparation of annual financial audits on request by clients.
* Managing the Practice Group Leader's credit card.
* Expense reconciliation.
Legal Support Coordination
* Coordinate the legal support team to ensure legal support services are maintained.
* Monitor legal support workloads and allocate resources appropriately.
* Manage legal support rosters, including office attendance (in accordance with Firm direction and policy and PGL specific requirements), leave applications and overtime approvals.
* Recruitment of legal support staff, with relevant Principal.
* Ensure the successful on-boarding of new legal support staff, provide training and mentoring where necessary.
* Identify learning and development training requirements of legal support staff and coordinate the provision of appropriate training with the L&D team.
Practice Group Liaison with Business Services
* Act as the primary point of contact for the Business Services functions, including Finance, Business Development, IT, Legal Operations, Project Management Office, and Office Services, while also managing a range of administrative tasks to support the broader needs of the Practice Group.
Practice Group Leader Legal Assistant
* Legal Assistant duties for the balance of the time as directed by the Practice Group Leader.
Skills/Knowledge
* Minimum 5 years' experience in legal administration.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Excellent literacy.
* Advanced knowledge of MS Word for Windows, and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge of iManage, or equivalent system knowledge is essential.
* Other administrative training will be well regarded.
