With a strong presence in the Australian market, they provide strategic, operational, and distribution support to a diverse range of specialist investment managers. While much of their IT infrastructure is outsourced to an MSP, they need a Junior Business Analyst to manage IT assets, assist with purchasing new technology, and be involved in strategic improvements and processes.About the Role:This role will not directly support users across particular technologies but will require technical knowledge and background. As a Junior Business Analyst, you will be taking ownership of the technology within the organization and providing an innovative mindset to improve processes.IT Asset Management – Tracking and maintaining an inventory of laptops, desktops, monitors, peripherals, and software licenses, ensuring everything is accounted for and up to date.Procurement & Vendor Coordination – Ordering new hardware and software, working with vendors, and ensuring employees have the right IT tools to be productive.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for minor system enhancements and workflow improvements.Assist in the evaluation and rollout of new technology solutions, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and addressed.Support the testing and user acceptance phases of small IT and operational projects.Help identify inefficiencies in current processes, suggest improvements, and contribute to automation or digitisation initiatives.Work with cross-functional teams to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.Contribute to reporting, analysis, and documentation to support internal decision-making.Technical Skills & Experience Required:UP TO 4 years of IT support experience, within financial services or consulting. This is a junior role.Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD and basic user/group management.Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPN, Wi-Fi, basic troubleshooting).Experience with hardware troubleshooting (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices).Ability to support remote users and provide assistance via remote desktop tools.Basic knowledge of IT asset management and procurement processes.What They’re Looking For:More than just technical skills, this firm values culture fit.
