The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Assistant Shower Screen Installer to support our lead installers on-site. This is a hands-on role that suits someone practical, reliable, and keen to learn a trade pathway in glazing / shower screen installation. Full training provided – attitude matters more than prior experience.
What You’ll Do
- Assist lead installer(s) with loading, unloading, and safely handling glass & aluminium frames.
- Help carry materials into site and stage work areas (apartments, townhouses, new builds, renos).
- Apply silicone neatly; clean excess and leave job sites tidy.
- Record basic site info (measurements, photos, job completion notes) using phone apps / sheets.
- Liaise politely with builders, site supervisors, and homeowners when needed
What You’ll Bring
Must-haves:
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit (able to assist lifting glass panels with a team – up to 35kg each piece).
- Solid attention to detail – measurements matter.
- Willingness to learn new tools, fixings, and installation methods.
- Good spoken & written English for site communication and job notes.
- Current Australian work rights.
- Construction White Card & Asbestos Awareness Card & Silica Awareness / Respirable Crystalline Silica training (or willing to obtain before start).
