About The Role
The successful applicant can discuss their work location with the manager.
The Professional Officer will provide evidence-based comprehensive and independent autism diagnostic assessments for children and young people up to 18 years of age within the clinical team, in accordance with departmental policy and direction, legal requirements and professional competence.
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and/or Autism Diagnostic Interview training is a must.
A current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment) is also required.
Current Driver's Licence and area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology are also mandatory.
The role involves working closely with families and carers to develop strategies that support the needs of the child or young person.
