This is a State Manager, Service Design and Innovation (528629) role with Department of Health, Tasmania based in Hobart, TAS, AU Department of Health, Tasmania Role Seniority - senior More about the State Manager, Service Design and Innovation (528629) role at Department of Health, Tasmania The Role: This role leads clinical services and strategic initiatives design, implementation, transformation and/or innovation across Population Screening and Cancer Prevention (PS&CP) in line with Agency policies, procedures, core business functions and relevant legislation. This role will lead the expansion and effective integration of the Tasmanian Diagnostic Breast Imaging Service into the existing Department of Health structures and services. The role will focus on driving research, innovation, sustainable change, improving performance against key indicators and embedding new models of care across the PS&CP. You will need: Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the health and clinical services sector, and the political, social and organisational environment together with expertise in clinical service design, transformation and management of innovative projects. High-level management and leadership expertise developed through extensive experience including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary programmes, effectively manage financial, human, physical and information resources and to monitor effectiveness and efficiency and to apply contemporary management techniques within a geographically dispersed service or organisation of similar complexity. Strategic planning skills with conceptual, research analytical and creative skills including demonstrated ability to understand, to identify relevant issues and priorities, make sound judgements, and apply policy and program development skills to develop and implement innovative recommendations, options and solutions. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills including the demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, liaise and negotiate complex and sensitive issues effectively, represent PSCP, and proven ability to work constructively as a member of a PSCP executive management team. Details of appointment: Fixed term full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2028. notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
