This role will work closely with various stakeholders, including Heads of Business Units / Senior Management, Project Managers, IT teams, and suppliers to ensure the procurement framework is efficient from a speed, cost, and risk perspective.You will have procurement accountability for several allocated spend categories across Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, and you will work collaboratively with the Local Management team to identify opportunities and implement sourcing activities to achieve savings targets. You will also act as the SME on procurement policies & procedures to ensure the business operates efficiently and in a compliant manner.To succeed in this role, the candidate must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in a procurement position driving similar responsibilities, along with a proven ability to work across complex stakeholder environments independently.This is a permanent full-time position based in either Melbourne or Sydney.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities and associated duties of the position include the following:Lead procurement strategies and sourcing activities across Oceania, ensuring alignment with business needs through collaboration with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, IT, operations)Conduct business needs assessments, market analysis, and commercial risk reviews to inform procurement planningDevelop and lead sourcing initiatives that deliver value and meet operational requirementsCollaborate with global teams (including HQ in Japan) to align local procurement with global supply chain strategiesPlan and lead contract negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes and complianceTrack and report procurement KPIs to drive cost savings and operational improvementsProvide expert advice on contract terms, supplier performance management, and procurement best practicesSupport capability building across the organisation through high-level advice, governance, and training in procurement practicesEnsure adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance requirements, including industry-specific regulationsManage supplier relationships, including performance reviews and negotiating SLAsIdentify and mitigate procurement risks to support business continuity and opportunity realisationMaintain comprehensive procurement records, including sourcing decisions and contract documentationManage procurement budgets and ensure expenditure remains within approved limitsAbout YouThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:A minimum of 3 years experience in Procurement or Supply ChainQualifications in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredProcurement experience ideally across both direct and indirect categoriesAdvanced procurement Skills, specifically in supplier managementDemonstrated contract negotiation and management capabilityStrong stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skillsAnalytical and curious mindset to challenge existing way of workingAbility to work and deliver autonomouslyWhy Fujitsu?We are an organization with a strong set of values and a history of respecting fairness and equality, whilst promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
