About the Role

Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor for a 2/1 roster to work on our construction and renewable energy projects throughout Australia. Some of your key tasks will include:

1. Lead and manage the electrical commissioning activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
2. Supervise a team of commissioning technicians, ensuring all tasks are completed according to project specifications and safety standards.
3. Prepare and review commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists.
4. Conduct pre-commissioning checks, functional tests, and start-up activities for electrical systems.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing and commissioning phases.
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues and provide feedback for design improvements.
7. Review and approve test reports, commissioning documentation, and as-built drawings.
8. Coordinate with other departments (Construction, Engineering, QA/QC) to ensure smooth project execution.
9. Provide progress updates to the Commissioning/ Engineering Manager and highlight any potential risks or delays.
10. Support project close-out activities, including handover documentation and final testing reports.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Electrical trade qualification or a Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering and white card are required.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in solar farm or large-scale construction projects.
3. Proven experience in supervising a team of technicians and subcontractors.
4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, testing equipment, and commissioning procedures. Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
5. Proficient in using commissioning software and tools.
