Alstom have a permanent opening for an experienced Human Resources / Learning Manager to deliver HR, training and competency development to the X'trapolis 2.0 team based at Ballarat.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Good partner to managers by providing proactive, valued-added input related to their business needs
- Develop / Adhere to the recruiting policy/strategy and, working with Talent Acquisition, execute recruitment activities efficiently within deadline
- Work closely with each business manager and successfully executes HR initiatives
- Conduct training of HR process related topics
- Working with International Mobility Coordinators, handle Expatriates immigration and settling-in related process
- Ensure HR system data is accurate and that proper instructions are given to the HR Global Services teams
- Monitor the Performance Management Cycle including
- Manage various employment contract types, benefits and policies
- Monitor the costs of HR activities - training, recruit and relevant programs to ensure expenditures stay within HR budget.
- Support Environment, Health & Safety strategy
- Ensure professional delivery of training sessions by following internal processes, standards and tools appropriate for planning and deployment of the training sessions as specified by Campus and Programme Managers including:
- maintenance of the training process and employee training data using given systems (Learning Catalogue, MLS, ALPS, evaluation tools) including:
- support for participants, trainers and Line & HR Managers along the process
- management of venues and infrastructure (Materials, technique, etc.)
**To be successful for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following**:
- Generalist HR Management experience
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment preferred
- Qualified in Learning and Development, or equivalent proven experience in Learning and Development or adult education
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Strong investigative and analytical skills, to identify and implement best practice.
- Ability to consistently produce accurate, factual, and detailed information.
- Sound leadership skills
- Self-motivated and customer focused
- Experience with aboriginal programs is desirable
