As a
Trade Instructor – Grounds & Horticulture
in the
Industries & Trades
team, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Supervising, coaching, training, instructing, and working with staff (inmates experience is highly desirable) to develop their work skills. Ideally, in a trade environment.
* Creating and maintaining a safe working environment for staff (inmates' experience highly desirable) and visitors to comply with Work Health & Safety legislation.
* Managing budget and resources efficiently and effectively to achieve planned outcomes.
* Ensuring quality standards of production, including completing Instruction Test Plans (ITPs).
* Delivering and understanding regulations or specific work requirements relevant to the trade area.
* Delivering and understanding of Occupational Health & Safety requirements and their application within the context of a workshop and/or industry environment.
* Contributing to teamwork by working collaboratively with others to achieve the goals and objectives of the Centre
* Delivering the highest level of personal integrity and ethical behaviour

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have
* Certificate IV in Horticulture or Cert III in Parks and Gardens
* Solid experience in grounds and horticulture
* Ability to obtain (or willingness to complete) Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and Cert III in Correctional Practice
* Knowledge and understanding
