About Kids' Early Learning
Kids’ Early Learning is owned and operated by the Council, with a portfolio of 31 childcare centres and over 40 family daycare educators. The service operates throughout the Blacktown local government area, serving over 2000 families and providing care and learning for children.
The Opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic Child Care Assistants to join us on a casual basis to support the provision of a nurturing space for children to learn and thrive. This position assists qualified staff to provide an appropriate and stimulating program of care and education, and to ensure the safety and well‑being of the children.

Responsibilities
- Assist qualified staff to deliver an age‑appropriate program of care and education for children in our centres.
- Support safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and inclusive environment.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in the Early Childhood field
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent as recognised by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Completion of Child Protection Course - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk of harm
- Current certificate HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Current certificate HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting or an Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management Training certificate that meets requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law 2010 and Education and Care Services National Regulation 2018
- Working with Children Check clearance valid for paid work
Desirable
- Current class C driver’s licence
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
Remuneration and Benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement. Entry level rate starts at $31.5079 per hour plus 25% casual loading. Employee benefits include leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer superannuation contribution, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and participation in social clubs.
This position is identified as child related work under the Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013. Therefore, an approved Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required. For information, visit the NSW Service website to apply for a WWCC.
