GEO SPACES (Senior) Security Engineer – working on AGO GEO SPACES mission critical networks.
Your New Role And Responsibilities
SECURITY ENGINEER responsibilities include:
* SIEM platform management: system/log onboarding, health checks, patching, maintenance and incident resolution.
* Detection engineering: ownership of full detection lifecycle.
* Provide system security advice and collaborate with network and operations teams, including IT security engineering of endpoint, network, gateway and other change items.
* Cyber Threat Intelligence platform and feed integration and maintenance.
* Vulnerability Management platform and tools integration and maintenance.
* Quality Assurance and control of SOC investigations and response.
* Support complex and emergency Incident Response activities using cloud and other response tools, techniques and procedures.
* Conduct research, development and testing of novel and emerging technologies, threats and opportunities in the cyber security domain.
* Support hunt activities using industry frameworks.
* Provide trusted advisory services.
* Develop security operations‐related system requirements.
* Change review and approvals.
* Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, including partner SOCs and security authorities in and out of Defence.
Qualifications
* Australian Citizen holding an active NV2 clearance, willing to uplift to TSPV clearance and successfully undergo DISA/OSA.
* 5–10 years of experience delivering security operations functions listed above.
* Preferred experience in AGO, intelligence agencies or Defence sector, with understanding of key stakeholders and processes in a Defence context.
* Strong passion for IT security operations and ability to work collaboratively.
* Strong problem‐solving skills, proactive attitude, ability to drive growth and support junior team members.
