Our client, who is a leading waste management company, is currently looking a **Fleet Controller **to join their team.
The Fleet Controller reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the efficient co-ordination and control of the commercial fleets, owner drivers and subcontracted services. This responsibility includes all activities that ensure customer bookings are carried out in accordance with requirements, routing including route optimisation is completed, driver management and driver management systems are maintained and compliance with all relevant regulators authorities, company policies and procedures.
**Your duties will include but not limited to**:
- Produce and distribute scheduled services requirements to drivers
- Re-route and liaise with drivers regarding any changes to scheduled routes.
- Perform route performance discussions with drivers to ensure the most efficient route is being maintained including driver input for route efficiencies.
- Review completed run sheets to verify customer details, confirm volume and verify the type of service.
- Monitor driver management systems including but not limited to MT Data, DriveCam and Scale Watcher.
- Produce and manage regulator required documentation including but not limited to EPA waste tracker, EPA vehicle permits and Biosecurity Log Forms.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and statements.
- Contributing to achieve the team KPI's in all facets including safety, productivity, and cost management.
- Ensure Route Audits are performed with guidelines provided by the Operations Manager
- Ensure route sequencing is managed in line with driver's route controls documentation or program.
- Report any non-conformance or matters of concern regarding Setting, Quality and Safety to the operations manager.
**To be successful, you will have**:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- An understanding of the waste industry or transport and logistics industry.
- Excellent customer service skills
- A strong knowledge or health, safety and environmental regulations and requirements within the waste and transport industry high advantageous.
