CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER – MICROSOFT AZURE EXPERT
Located in Wollongong is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure expertise.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Technical Lead some of your key accountabilities will include:
* Playing a key role in developing and supporting the hybrid cloud and infrastructure environment.
* Working with and shaping modern tools and DevOps practices to deliver technology that meets the evolving needs of the business and customers.
* Working in collaboration with all stakeholders across the business and IT, to deliver and drive hybrid cloud and infrastructure development, automation, migration through DevOps practices to meet business and IT needs.
* Maintaining hybrid cloud and infrastructure development and lifecycle standards and patterns supported by quality assurance processes in line with business, security and information management needs and requirements.
* Delivery of projects and changes, and the support of production and non-production environments.
* Providing support and resolution to incidents and service requests.
* Participating in a rotating after hours callout roster to provide timely support and service to a 24/7 operation.
THE CANDIDATE:
To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience within a similar role with exposure to Cloud engineering using Infra-as-code preferably terraform, configuration management and continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as GIT.
* Relevant qualifications in IT or related fields.
* Current familiarity and experience with core provider services from Azure cloud platform; professional level certifications desirable.
* An understanding of distributed system design, network architecture and dependency management.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate, knowledge share, influence others and create documents such as presentations and solution designs.
