Volunteer Tour Guide Opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as volunteer tour guides. As a tour guide, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and leading informative tours tailored to suit diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as an ambassador of Bendigo Heritage by providing a warm and welcoming experience for visitors.
* Lead engaging and informative tours that showcase the history and significance of the Bendigo Joss House Temple, Chinese Culture, and the City of Greater Bendigo.
* Maintain awareness of visitors on your tour and ensure a safe environment by complying with OH&S requirements and Bendigo Heritage policies.
* Assist in maintaining and presenting the building and grounds in a professional and culturally sensitive manner.
* Present with a clean and tidy appearance at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Communication Skills:
Strong communication skills are essential for this role, with the ability to clearly and confidently convey information to visitors.
Customer Service Skills:
Excellent customer service skills are also required, with the ability to effectively converse with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals of all ages and abilities.
Other Skills:
Ability to follow procedures accurately, efficiently, and effectively; excellent knowledge and/or willingness to learn about Bendigo's history, attractions, and heritage assets; ability to work without supervision; and reliable and punctual.

Commitment:
