Responsibilities
As a Psychologist, you'll make a positive impact by working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a health centre setting, supporting the diverse mental health needs of military members.
Management of crisis presentations, risk assessment and risk management planning.
Support ADF Members with their initial intake and assessment with flexibility to accommodate presenting need.
Case formulation and treatment planning.
Programmatic treatment interventions.
Care coordination.
Group psycho-education.
Qualifications
Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the last 5 years in mental health in a primary health or specialist mental health setting undertaking comprehensive mental health assessment and delivering a range of evidence based \"Focussed Psychological Strategies\" as defined under the Medicare Schedule.
Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable).
Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy (desirable).
Requirements & Additional Information
You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on-base and your job stays here, even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
