Mental Health Clinician
Location: Lotus Glen Correctional Centre (Mareeba)
Job type: Flexible full‐time, permanent, 36 h 15 min per week (7 h 15 min per day) with flexible hours Monday to Friday 8 am‐5 pm.

Salary up to $111,975 p.a. + 12.75 % superannuation and 17.5 % annual leave loading.
Responsibilities
* Conduct independent risk assessments of harm to self or others, including acute or chronic risk.
* Provide psychoeducation related to mental health conditions, symptoms, and treatment options to individuals.
* Deliver individual or group‐based skill acquisition focused interventions aimed at developing coping skills and building resilience.
* Maintain up‐to‐date knowledge and contemporary understanding of psychopathology, diagnostic classification systems, and clinical and psychometric assessment tools.
Qualifications
Application candidates must meet the mandatory requirements for their professional discipline:
* Psychologists – degree in psychology or behavioural science from a registered tertiary institution; general or provisional registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA or eligibility for such registration; must meet new 2022 registration pathway requirements.
* Social workers – eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) with a University‐level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW; overseas qualified workers must provide a certification of eligibility letter from the AASW.
* Occupational therapists – degree in occupational therapy from a recognised tertiary institution; registration or eligibility for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia/AHPRA.
