About the Role
We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Chefs to join our labour-hire team. You will be placed with various clients across the Hervey Bay, Bundaberg, and Point Vernon regions, working in commercial kitchens including hospitality venues, aged care, healthcare, and events.
This role suits chefs who enjoy variety, flexible work arrangements, and the opportunity to work in different kitchen environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality meals in accordance with client requirements
* Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
* Work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
* Collaborate with kitchen and site staff to ensure smooth service
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas
* Adapt quickly to different kitchen setups and menus
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
* Previous experience working as a chef in a commercial kitchen
* COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (or willingness to obtain them)
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable transport to travel between job sites
* Valid Australian work rights
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience in aged care, healthcare, or large-scale catering
* Food Safety Supervisor certification
* Flexibility with shifts, including weekends and early starts
