About The Role
The Sales Executive is responsible for new sales, business development and account management and key customer management within a defined geographical area in the service lines Management System Certification and Training Services with a strong industry focus in line with DNV Business Assurance strategy, contributing directly to revenue growth and customer retention. This role involves identifying and qualifying new commercial opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract closure, and maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients and DNV's reputation as a trusted partner to our customers.
The Main Areas Of Responsibility Are
Business Development & Opportunity Management
Proactively generate and identify new business opportunities within existing and untapped markets.
Build, nurture, and maintain a robust sales funnel, ensuring a steady pipeline of leads and prospects aligned with commercial targets.
Conduct regular sales visits, calls, and online meetings to assess client needs and position DNV's services effectively.
Monitor outstanding quotations and leads to ensure timely follow-up and deal closure.
Visiting relevant and valuable fairs and business events to increase DNVs visibility in the market and extend business network
Building and maintaining relationships with business partners as consultancies and associations
Proposal & Contract Management
Prepare accurate, competitive, and customer-specific proposals in compliance with DNV procedures and delegation of authority.
Manage the quotation and contracting process from initial contact to agreement signature, ensuring clarity, transparency, and alignment with customer expectations.
Maintain high-quality documentation and records of sales activities in internal systems.
Customer Engagement & Value Delivery
Represent DNV's brand, services, and value propositions clearly and convincingly to prospective and existing customers.
Ensure a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
Act as a key point of contact for strategic and high-value accounts, building long-term relationships based on trust and performance.
Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Planning, Technical, Operations, and Key Customer Management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Mentor and coach junior and peer-level sales colleagues, providing guidance on sales techniques, customer management, and emerging scheme requirements.
Contribute to a supportive team environment by aligning with shared goals and participating in collective initiatives.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
Leverage market knowledge and customer insights to identify trends, competitive positioning, and areas for service innovation.
Provide structured feedback to internal stakeholders to support the enhancement of DNV's service portfolio.
Identify opportunities for diversification and cross- and upselling across management system certification, training, and personnel certification services.

About You
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Sales position, preferably in a comparable position in TIC Industry or consulting
Market knowledge and strong business connections in Germany
Proactive self-starter personality and team player attitude
Fluency in German and advanced level of English
