A Commonwealth Government agency is seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and coordination support within a fast-paced executive environment.
This role is suited to an experienced administrator who thrives managing competing priorities, building strong stakeholder relationships and supporting senior leaders with day-to-day operational requirements.
Working closely with senior executives and branch staff, the Executive Assistant will provide efficient and confidential administrative support to ensure smooth business operations and effective executive coordination.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information within a professional government environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and office support to senior executives, including inbox and diary management, travel coordination and meeting support
* Manage correspondence, enquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
* Coordinate branch administration activities including onboarding support, visitor management, stationery orders and mail services
* Organise meetings and executive engagements, including preparation of agendas, briefs, talking points, meeting papers and minutes
* Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders and act as a key contact point for executive offices
* Support broader executive and administrative teams to ensure continuity of operations
* Maintain accurate records and administrative systems in line with organisational procedures
* Undertake additional duties as required to support business outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience in an Executive Assistant, Executive Support or high-level administration role
* Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement
* Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and corporate systems
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Desirable Experience
* Previous APS or government experience
* Experience supporting senior executives within a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with records management and travel coordination processes
