Operations Engineer (North)
Location: Tamworth, NSW. Job Type: Full‐time.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support in road and drainage infrastructure and standards such as Austroads.
* Provide asset management services on behalf of the community.
* Commitment to undertake continuous learning to ensure industry standards are maintained.
* Plan and deliver civil works including sealed road reconstruction, stormwater drainage works and bridge repairs.
* Manage and control the finances of various projects undertaken by the Division.
* Prepare and manage contracts.
* Assist with the Division's strategic planning, budget review and monitoring, estimating and programming of capital works.
* Provide technical support for Supervisors and other technical staff.
* Respond dynamically to natural disasters or emergencies impacting the road network.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications acceptable for membership to the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
* OH&S Construction Induction Card.
* Driver licence.
* Previous experience in a similar role with 2–5 years practical experience.
* Immunisations required: Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Q fever.
* Strong knowledge of project planning and management, engineering design and environmental engineering.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: Grade 19 – $112,011.74 – $121,200.39 per annum plus 12% superannuation and leaseback vehicle for a 35‐hour work week. An employee salary contribution is required for the motor vehicle.
Flexible working arrangements may be considered by mutual agreement according to operational requirements.
