Immediate start available for the right candidate.Role OverviewAs a Branch Operations Assistant, you will be integral to our Port Hedland Branch, ensuring we meet our commitments and customer expectations. You will have the opportunity to work safely and efficiently across all areas of our operations, with encouragement to ask questions and contribute your ideas.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts and handle items manually following OHS standards.Perform administrative tasks, prepare sales quotes, and ensure excellent customer service with a positive attitude.Support the Port Hedland team and learn various aspects of the business to develop into a key team member.Prioritize safety and quality in all tasks.Receive, unpack, and store inventory from suppliers.Pick, pack, and dispatch products to customers.Assist tradespersons with workshop and site servicing, repairs, testing, and calibration.Operate tools and equipment such as vehicles, forklifts, presses, grinders, and drills.Document work for quality control purposes.Maintain cleanliness in the workshop and warehouse.Support sales activities, including quotes, planning, and administration.Engage with customers face-to-face and over the phone.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.About YouTo be considered for this role, you will have :Residency in Port / South Hedland.The right to work in Australia.A commitment to safety and quality.A desire to learn and up-skill.Mechanical aptitude.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing regularly.Ability to pass a national police clearance.Teamwork skills.High attention to detail.Punctuality and reliability.Additional Desired SkillsHeavy vehicle driver’s license.Forklift license (WorkSafe).First aid certification.Partially completed mechanical fitting apprenticeship or pre-apprenticeship.Certificate II in Mechanical Technology.Certificate II in Business Administration.Hydraulic-related skills or courses.Competitive salary and benefits.Provided uniforms.Participation in the company's awards and recognition programs.
