About the Role

The Student Counsellor provides a specialised counselling and wellbeing service that supports the social, emotional, and educational development of students within the College community. Working under the direction of the Director of Counselling and in collaboration with the Wellbeing and Learning Adjustments teams, the role contributes expert guidance and therapeutic support to enhance student engagement, resilience, and overall wellbeing.

The position plays a key role in building the capacity of the College community to respond effectively to student wellbeing needs through individual and group counselling, consultation with staff and families, and collaboration with external agencies. As a valued member of the College community, the Student Counsellor upholds the College’s Catholic identity, duty of care, and child safety obligations, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where students are known, supported, and able to thrive.
