Job Description
As a Field Technician at Drill Intel, you will be a key player in our field operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and exceeding client expectations. You will work closely with drilling contractors and geology teams to deploy our advanced steering tools and support the success of drilling programs. Your role will include:
Primary Responsibilities
* Leading day-to-day onsite operations for the running and maintenance of Aziwell directional drilling tools.
* Collaborating with drilling contractors to ensure successful directional drilling programs.
* Setting up, deploying and maintaining steerable coring and directional motors.
* Identifying and developing drilling optimisation initiatives.
* Managing equipment and supplies onsite to ensure uninterrupted service.
* Acting as the primary contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Ensuring all operations comply with company and client safety policies.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices.
* Working on a FIFO roster of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.
Selection Criteria
* Experience in drilling operations, with a strong preference for those with directional drilling experience.
* Supervisory experience is advantageous.
* Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with drilling software such as Compass are highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* South Australian candidates are encouraged to apply, but we are open to applicants from other states with the right credentials.
