As a Studio Assistant Educator, there will never be a typical day. Through our play-based learning philosophy, we are constantly reminded of what a wondrous world we live in. You could go from singing Johnny works with One Hammer to a magician or gardener. Of course, you will still be responsible for all of the compliance-based tasks like safety checks, communicating with families, recording children’s progress, routines, and interests - but all while creating a safe, supportive space where children thrive.
Toral Lodge Childcare Centre is situated in a tranquil environment in Buderim, Sunshine Coast Queensland. This centre is purpose-built for young children and families to enjoy farmyard experiences. Toral Lodge is a place where all people are valued. Educators, children, parents, families, and the wider community all have vital roles within our centre. We believe that every child is a unique individual, and we convey this in all that we do. Our philosophy and belief about children guide our programs and practices.
What you’ll need:
1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
2. Experience in engaging with children through creative play
3. Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
4. Current & Valid Working with Children Check
5. First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
