Location: Maroochydore Region

Classification: General Retail Award Level 2

Employment Type: Casual – up to 38 hours per week

Store trading hours: 830 – 430 pm | Monday – Friday

About the role:

Based in the Sunshine Coast region, this position involves transporting furniture and goods to and from The Salvation Army Family Stores and the Caloundra warehouse. The role also supports the overall operations and efficiency of the stores and warehouse in alignment with the mission of The Salvation Army.

How you will make an impact:

As a Casual Truck Driver, you will:

* Pick up and deliver furniture and goods as directed by the Family Store Manager and in line with the daily schedule, following all manual handling and WHS procedures.
* Act as a primary point of contact with customers, providing friendly and professional service.
* Identify the value and quality of donated items and apply TSA collection protocols appropriately.
* Manage waste removal and transport bins to the designated refuse centre.
* Assist on the shop floor as required, including sorting, pricing, and moving furniture and stock.
* Keep the workspace clean, safe, and organised.

What will you bring:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

* Previous experience in furniture pick-up and delivery (highly regarded).
* A current and valid driver's licence.
* A First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
* A good level of physical fitness and the ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy furniture. You must be comfortable with standing, walking, climbing ladders, and other physical duties, all in accordance with WHS policies.
