**About the role**
The Operations Manager, Ground Floor Mental Health IPU, reports to the Deputy Director of Operations & Nursing, Hospital and Emergency Services. The two Operations Nurse Managers (Ground Floor and First Floor) will provide operational and clinical leadership for the Units and will be responsible for allocation of resources, workforce availability, ensuring competency standards are met and in conjunction with the Access Manager will ensure bed flow. The incumbent will be accountable for system management, liaison with relevant external and internal stakeholders and advocacy and escalation of clinical concerns. This position will be supported by a Clinical Nurse Manager.
The Ops Manager is an essential member of the multidisciplinary IPU leadership team and will work collaboratively with the team to ensure the safe provision of effective care delivery 7-days a week. In addition, the position will facilitate strategic planning ensuring appropriate delivery of innovative care whist ensuring adherence to legislative requirements.
**About you**
You will have registration as a registered nurse with post graduate qualifications in mental health and a minimum of 5 years experience in a management position. A post graduate qualification in Health Management (or equivalent) or working towards, viewed favourably.
