Nestled in the Strzelecki Ranges, Calvary Strzelecki House is a beautiful residential aged care home in Mirboo North. We currently have ongoing casual opportunities available
About the role
We have casual opportunities to join our team and work across both cleaning and laundry departments.
Your main duties
* Routine and project cleaning tasks according to established cleaning schedules. Cleaning tasks include mopping and vacuuming floors, carpet cleaning, damp dusting, cobweb removal, window cleaning, waste management, restocking of supplies, collection of soiled linen and clothing as required
* Recording of the completion of cleaning schedule tasks
* Collects, sorts, washes, dries, sorts and distributes clothing and linen as per laundry instructions.
* Ensures adequate stocks of clean linen, towels and laundry skip bags are available in the designated storage areas in the home.
* Mend residents clothing as required and report any unusual incidents to the home manager.
* Maintain infection control standards at all times including the scheduling of laundry cycles.
* Completes sign off record forms for each shift, showing what cleaning tasks have been completed and document any carry over issues.
About you
* Experience in cleaning tasks such as; mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, damp dusting, window and high cleaning
* Knowledge and experience in safe chemical handling (desirable)
* Completion of cleaning tasks according to infection control and occupational health and safety requirements including the safe storage and use of cleaning chemicals
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
