Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co‐educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,600 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our Senior School teaching team. This is a full‐time, fixed‐term position for Terms 3 and 4. It is a sacred opportunity to inspire enthusiasm, fitness, and character in young people, teaching with purpose and conviction, sowing seeds of faith and learning that will shape lives for eternity.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand and apply the biblical foundations underpinning the College's values, aims, and practices.
* An enthusiastic and active contribution to the spiritual, academic, sporting, cultural and social life of the College.
* Develop and deliver engaging learning and assessment programmes within a biblical framework that promote student growth and performance.
* Differentiate teaching to meet diverse learning needs and foster positive learning outcomes for all students.
* Provide pastoral care and maintain strong communication with students, parents and College staff.
* Ensure accurate student reporting and compliance with College policies and procedures.
Essential Selection Criteria
* Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association's Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
* Can build and maintain strong, healthy relationships with families, SCEA Head Office staff, and the College community.
* Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration or willingness to apply for one.
Desirable
* Passionate about mentoring young people and leading with confidence across diverse environments.
* Show initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
* Good communication skills with students, parents and staff.
* Able to work as part of a team.
* Able to prioritise workload.
* Able to teach Outdoor Education.
* Holds an LR Bus licence.
* Holds a Bronze Medallion or equivalent.
