Environmental Advisor Position Overview
Job Description
The Environmental Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding the company's environmental performance across project operations.
This position is responsible for ensuring full compliance with environmental approvals, licences, and regulatory requirements while leading the implementation of monitoring programs, data management, reporting, and field services.
* Prepare environmental approval applications to ensure operational continuity of project operations.
* Coordinate technical studies required to support environmental approval applications.
* Oversee the collection of environmental monitoring data and collate, analyse and report on the data to maintain compliance as required for approvals, licenses and permits.
* Ensure site compliance with environmental management system, procedures and processes along with legislation and regulations relating to environmental management.
The successful candidate will have strong computer literacy skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite, Teams and Sharepoint. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational skills and written and verbal communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or related discipline.
* Field experience in conducting environmental monitoring such as water, fauna and flora surveys, dust, radiation, noise and light.
* Previous experience in preparation of environmental management reports.
* Experience in incident investigation, auditing and reporting on environmental management.
Benefits
This contract is for a fixed term of 6 months. The preferred candidate will reside in the West Kimberley region, however FIFO from Perth will be considered.
