Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. A Quantity Surveyor plays a vital role in the construction process, responsible for managing costs and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Manage cost estimation activities across residential, commercial, and industrial scaffolding projects
* Detailed take-offs and cost estimates to support accurate tenders
* Prepare detailed cost plans for budgetary control, including bills of quantities, and manage progress payments
Liaise with clients and project managers to clarify scope, resolve cost queries, and maintain alignment with project objectives
Monitor the project through the construction phases and adjust cost based on variations
Review supplier quotations and cost breakdowns, ensuring cost control, accuracy, and value optimisation
Mentor junior team members and enhance cost management workflows to improve efficiency and consistency
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar construction estimating experience
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Sound knowledge of construction and excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills
* Ability to organise, plan, and strategise
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders
