About The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Yard & Logistics Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant day‐to‐day running of our Devonport yard and delivery operations.
This role has a strong operational focus, leading the yard team, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring deliveries are executed safely, on time and to the highest service standards. You will be a visible, hands‐on supervisor who sets the standard for safety, teamwork and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise and support Drivers and Yard Staff at our Devonport Branch
* Take ownership of daily yard operations and logistics scheduling
* Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, on time and in full
* Ensure that coordination and optimisation of delivery runs and resource allocation are completed
* Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence
* Monitor performance against budgets, service levels and KPIs
* Drive continuous improvement across yard processes and cost control
* Support recruitment, onboarding and safety training of new team members
* Coach and mentor staff to build capability and maximise team performance
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and legislation
