About the job
We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and detail-focused Senior Document Controller to join our Sustainable Infrastructure team. In this key role, you will lead document management and control functions across major infrastructure projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with SA Water and project-specific requirements.
Reporting to the Quality Management Lead, you'll play a central role in delivering high-quality documentation standards, supporting project assurance reviews, and maintaining critical systems used across Capital Delivery projects.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the preparation, organisation, and secure transmission of project documents across internal and external stakeholders.
* Supporting Capital Delivery projects and Major Framework Partners (MFP) by ensuring document control processes are followed, and systems are used effectively.
* Coordinating documentation for Infrastructure SA (ISA) Assurance Reviews, including uploads to SharePoint and ongoing compliance with ISA guidelines.
* Developing and delivering targeted training and coaching to project teams on document control systems and processes.
* Performing quality assurance reviews and leading continuous improvement initiatives for documentation and control practices.
* Maintaining and administering document management systems, such as Aconex, M-Files, Capital Project Locker, and SharePoint.
Your success in this role will come from:
* Extensive experience in document management and control, ideally within large infrastructure or government projects.
* Strong understanding of document control systems and transmittal processes.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
* Ability to build collaborative relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
* Experience with electronic document management systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
* Proven ability to support and deliver process improvements and maintain system accuracy.
* Well developed skills in Microsoft Office applications eg. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
