We have an amazing opportunity for a proactive, focused Industrial Sales Representative to support the dedicated and talented Otraco Team. This role will be based at our Mt Thorley HMSC location with regular visits to our BMSA Sydney office in NSW on a full-time permanent basis.
The Role:
The Industrial Sales Representative role is to facilitate the growth of Otraco's Industrial Sales (IS) business by engaging directly with clients, Otraco site operational staff and supplier vendors to create outstanding customer value while concurrently providing high level logistical and field support for the products and will be reporting to our General Manger.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to,
Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.
Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's service offerings. Provide technical assistance and guidance to clients regarding specifications and applications.
Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the onsite service delivery team to develop and implement effective sales strategies. Set and achieve sales targets and performance metrics.
Negotiation and Closing: Prepare and present sales proposals, tenders, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales objectives.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status. Prepare regular reports for management.
Customer Service: Ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups and resolution of issues. Provide feedback to internal teams regarding customer preferences and needs.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and service delivery teams onsite, to ensure alignment on product offerings and tenders.
Support and maintenance of advised contractual obligations where applicable
Achievement of the Otraco's key objectives and goals including revenue, gross margin and debtor collection targets
Necessary travel to meet the requirements of the role
Responsible for the sales conversion of new company generated sales leads, building on existing relationships and finding new potential customers
Achieving sales targets.
Raising PO's for tooling and consumables
Respond to requests for tender and technical support
Negotiate contracts and sales agreements to secure new business
In collaboration with the client, peers and the business, you will need have a strong focus on the sales delivery of accuracy and innovation for the company
About You:
Sales experience ideally in a mining environment
Excellent communication (verbal/written) and customer service skills
Experience in warehousing of tooling and stock
Demonstrated organisational and planning skills
Demonstrated customer service skills requisite to the level required for this role
A valid driver's licence
A problem solver not simply a problem identifier
Desirable:
Knowledge of earth mover tyre and rim industry, tooling and associated consumables.
