We are seeking graduates with tertiary qualifications in commerce or accounting-related disciplines to join our finance team at the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).

The finance team plays a crucial role in shaping policy that impacts the lives of Australians by providing sound financial management advice to the executive team.
What You Will Do
* You will assist in preparing detailed budgets and costings for projects, initiatives and groups.
* You will interpret accounting standards and provide financial analysis and reporting.
* You will write briefs including senate estimates and updates to internal policies and guidelines.
* You will conduct detailed account reconciliations and reporting.
* You will assist in procurement activities including interpretation of the Commonwealth Procurement Guidelines.
* You will solve problems, conduct process mapping and suggest improvements.
