About the Role
Are you a skilled Industrial Spray Painter with solid experience in two-pack spray painting heavy‐duty equipment? Our client, a well-established truck, trailer and dumper truck body manufacturer in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, is seeking a qualified Spray Painter to join their production team. This is a hands‐on role where quality, efficiency and pride in your work are valued. You will play a key part in ensuring finished builds are durable, precise and visually exceptional.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and mask truck chassis, trailer bodies and dumper truck components to production standards.
* Colour‐match and accurately mix paints in line with build specifications.
* Apply primer and high‐quality finishing coats using HVLP spray gun systems (two‐pack).
* Read and interpret workshop drawings, blueprints, and build sheets.
* Prioritise workloads to meet production deadlines.
* Work independently or as part of a production team when required.
* Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
* At least 3 years' experience in industrial two‐pack spray painting — ideally on truck trailers, chassis, agricultural or heavy equipment.
* Proven experience with heavy‐duy vehicle components or large‐format builds.
* A valid Spray Painter Trade Qualification.
* Current right to work in Australia and based in Melbourne, VIC.
* Two recent reference contacts from past employers.
* Excellent attention to detail and a quality‐driven approach.
* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
