Due to ongoing growth and delivery success, we are now looking recruit an experienced IT manager to lead IT in the Asia, Australia, and New Zealand regions.
**Job Description**:
The role of the Regional IT manager is to work closely with the Global IT director and with the operational business to support the IT service in the region. You will also ensure that the IT and security strategies are implemented fully in the region and liaise with the regional business leaders to ensure the IT service is suitable for the region.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Global IT Director and his other directors to implement the IT strategy in the region
- Identify to the IT leadership team the needs and issues in the region
- Line management of the IT staff in the region and management of the regional service providers and supply chain
- Ensuring the operational health of the IT services for the region including availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability, reliability and security
- Work closely with the regional business leaders to ensure the region is fully briefed on the IT initiatives, messaging and any changes that will impact them and to understand and minimise the business issues that may be caused by IT changes
- Gain an understanding of the IT requirements for the local clients and markets and ensure that we have the services and controls in place to meet these requirements
- Report / present status, changes, and progress on the IT service to the regional boards
- Involved throughout the lifecycle of regional IT projects you will use your broad experience in Microsoft platforms and enterprise technology architecture (Azure/ M365)
- Ensure that any IT Training, documentation and education is applicable to the region and if not, then manage the amendments to improve the delivery of knowledge transfer in the region
- Act as a regional escalation point for any new/ongoing issues, either managing local resources or collaborating with Global IT, ensuring a clear provision of troubleshooting information to work problem through to a resolution
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in line managing IT professionals (preferably across multiple locations)
- Experience in working with non-IT managers to gather requirements, roll-out services and change management
- Experience in working with enterprise IT services both on premise and hosted or cloud based
- Experience in managing Microsoft 365 for an enterprise particularly meeting room integration, regionalisation of Office, document management, regional data privacy, backup and recovery etc.
- A minimum of four years relevant work experience focused on managing IT professionals
- Confident with the good interpersonal skills, able to deal with people at all levels and communicate to users in a clear, non-technical language
- Good organisational skills, used to managing and prioritising own workload
- Ability to report on progress, timescales, outstanding and completed activities
