The Project
Two CIMIC Group companies have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project.
HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW and significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for:
* Assisting in planning and executing daily site activities, ensuring they align with the project scope, schedule, and safety requirements.
* Providing construction teams with technical advice, including interpreting drawings and specifications.
* Tracking progress, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to weekly reporting and cost tracking.
* Working with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and quality of works.
* Promoting and implementing safety, environmental, and quality procedures in all on-site activities.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent).
* Previous experience on major infrastructure, transmission, or civil projects.
* A strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety practices, and project documentation.
