Your part in The Wesley Hospital team We provide both diagnostic and interventional cardiac services across three cardiac catheter laboratories including a cardiac post-operative intensive care unit, cardiac catheter theatres and a specialised cardiac operating theatre. We provide elective and emergency surgical services for patients requiring advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical care. Our team perform a range of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures. In addition, our structural heart program, inclusive of TAVR and MitraClip, continues with strong growth. This program consistently delivers patient outcomes better than national average bench mark guidelines. Our research opportunities see staff involved in both national and international transcatheter valve trials. Joining our team as a Chief Cardiac Radiographer, you will provide high quality imaging services in the Cardiac Catheter Theatres. Ensuring optimization of imaging capabilities, patient safety at all times, and utilising your clinical expertise, skills and knowledge to provide education and mentoring within the team. In addition, you will be responsible for the management of the Cardiac Radiography team, including recruitment, rostering, mandatory education, performance appraisal, coaching and mentoring. You will need: Bachelor of Applied Science - Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent Current Queensland Radiation USE licence Licence as Radiation Safety Officer- Queensland Radiation Health Current AHPRA registration Eligibility for A.I.R membership Proficiency in the field of interventional angiography, in particular cardiac, peripheral and abdominal vascular and Intra vascular ultrasound Leadership and mentoring experience Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills Good computer literacy What makes a difference for you?
