About the role
We currently have a position available for a reliable and passionate Companion carer with a gardening focus to join our team in WAGGA WAGGA. You will need to be friendly, positive and demonstrate client-focused behaviour, showing empathy and treating others with dignity and respect. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a excellent asset to our team.
Responsibilities will include:
Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
Assisting clients with various gardening and yard maintenance supports
Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
Preparing food if needed
Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client
Responding to emergency situations
Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered
Essential Criteria:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges
Interest in gardening and yard maintenance
Current National Police Check
Current First Aid & CPR certificates
Current NDIS Worker Screening & Orientation
Current unrestricted driver's licence
Comprehensive car insurance

Pay: From $38.53 per hour
