Job Description
We are actively seeking a skilled Project Installation Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Australia. This role requires experience in method statements/installation procedures for offshore power cables projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as technical interface with clients for document preparation and review of scopes of work.
* Report on outcomes of meetings and technical discussions to the Installation Department.
* Critically evaluate technical and contractual information.
* Analyze customer technical challenges and develop effective design solutions.
* Fully understand engineering challenges and utilize engineering tools and techniques to overcome obstacles.
* Develop technical procedures for installing cables in offshore marine environments.
* Ensure that provided engineering solutions are best-in-class and effective in terms of cost, quality, and safety.
Engineering Scope:
* Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)
* Route Engineering
* Burial assessment study (BAS)
* Survey works
* Cable installation works
* Pre-sweeping/dredging works
* Mattress installation works
* Rock placement (rock dumping)
* Trenching works
* Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation
Requirements:
* Autocad software experience is mandatory;
* Italian and English language proficiency is required;
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering Technology or other relevant subjects is an advantage;
* Good word processing skills;
* Surveyor background and GIS software experience are a plus;
Working Conditions:
This role may involve remote work with occasional face-to-face meetings in Melbourne. Site visits may be required.
