The Team:The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest tertiary referral centre.
The RHH Pharmacy Compounding and Cancer Services (CCS) team are responsible for the provision of a comprehensive service including sterile and hazardous medicines compounding, clinical pharmacy service to cancer patients and clinical trials services across the Royal Hobart Hospital, including inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and high-acuity settings.
The CCS team is comprised of specialist pharmacists, rotational pharmacists and technicians supported by staff in dedicated leadership roles to lead the service stream.
Our pharmacy team collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centred, medicine-related care.
With patient safety and professional development at the heart of our ethos, we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.The Role:The Supervisor Pharmacist - Production works with the Pharmacy Site Manager (South) and other senior staff in the overall development and delivery of a contemporary pharmacy service to the RHH and is responsible for:The effective and efficient planning, coordination and utilisation of staff and resources within the Manufacturing area, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Site Manager (South).Providing professional leadership when training and assessing other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in all areas of sterile and non-sterile manufacturing.You will need:Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including a minimum of 3 years' experience in hospital pharmacy manufacturing.Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to lead, manage and liaise with staff and other health professionals.Professional qualification or equivalent level of recognised professional competency or a commitment to working towards a qualification or level of competency which supports this specialist position.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Allied Health Professional, Level 4Permanent part time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary:$123,717 to $138,296 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
