About the role
We are currently looking for multiple full-time Catering Assistants to join the Spotless team at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Northam, WA. As a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, Spotless is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, culturally diverse meals that support the overall health and well-being of individuals within the centre.
Responsibilities
* Assist in assembling, preparing, and producing meals as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
* Maintain cleanliness across food preparation and dining areas, including equipment and utensils.
* Adhere to the HACCP Food Safety Plan by upholding food safety and hygiene standards, completing all documentation accurately and on time.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure it remains clean and well-maintained.
Qualifications
* Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (or higher).
* Valid Food Safety Certificates.
* Prior experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
* Sound knowledge of HACCP Food Safety guidelines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
