Azooa is seeking NV2-cleared Geospatial Systems Specialists for a Defence opportunity in Canberra. Azooa is preparing a response for RFx28596 / LCD-25-0108 – Sustainment of Geospatial Support System and is seeking suitably qualified contractors for an upcoming Defence opportunity based at the Land Geospatial Centre, Symonston ACT.
About the Role
We are looking for experienced Geospatial Systems Specialists – GSS-F, aligned to the official RFQ role of System Integration & Build – SINT Level 5. This role supports the sustainment of the Geospatial Support System – Fixed capability, managed under Defence Project DEF1771.
Responsibilities
* Supporting configuration and administration of Arcitecta Mediaflux
* Supporting configuration and administration of Esri ArcGIS Enterprise
* Supporting configuration and administration of ArcGIS Pro
* Supporting configuration and administration of BAE SOCET GXP
* Supporting configuration and administration of Safe Software FME
* Supporting other geospatial or ICT applications as directed
* Providing SINT Level 5 system integration and build support
* Supporting integration of geospatial applications within Defence ICT environments
* Assisting with application deployment, configuration and validation
* Supporting software installation, suitability testing and system build activities
* Applying or supporting system updates, patching, service packs, hotfixes and upgrades
* Performing system health checks and reporting
* Monitoring log files, system performance, disk usage and network traffic
* Supporting backup and recovery integrity
* Troubleshooting user-reported issues and system faults
* Supporting auditing, malware scanning and security compliance activities
* Monitoring system logs and server security
* Managing technical risk relating to Defence systems, software safety and security
* Maintaining technical documentation and system records
* Providing advice on technical and design artefacts
* Supporting requirements analysis, development, verification and validation activities
* Engaging with the Land Geospatial Centre and Geospatial Information User community
* Supporting incident, problem, change and request processes through DSMS or similar ITSM systems
Qualifications
Current NV2 security clearance
Required Skills
* System Integration & Build experience at SINT Level 5
* Experience configuring and administering geospatial or enterprise ICT systems
* Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro
* Experience with geospatial applications such as Mediaflux, SOCET GXP or FME
* Demonstrated experience with Defence systems and software safety
* Demonstrated experience managing security and technical risk
* Experience with networking, computers, servers and operating systems
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‐solving skills
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to work with limited guidance and demonstrate initiative
* Experience providing technical advice and evaluating design artefacts
* Experience with requirements analysis, development, verification and validation
* Ability to design, maintain and manage technical documentation
* Experience with DSMS or a similar IT Service Management system
Preferred Skills
* Defence geospatial systems experience GSS‐F, DEF1771 or LAND1771 exposure
* Land Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance or Electronic Warfare environment experience
* Experience supporting BAE SOCET GXP
* Experience supporting Safe Software FME Flow or FME Form
* Experience with enterprise data management, data sharing and data translation services
* Experience with Defence Protected Network and Defence Secret Network environments
* Experience with ITIL v3‐aligned service delivery
* Experience with backup, recovery, security scanning and operational support
* Experience supporting application sustainment, managed services or technical support in classified environments
Pay range and compensation package
Azooa recommends candidates submit rates under $163/hour including super where possible to demonstrate stronger value for money and improve win probability.
