About The Role
The Senior ICT Support Officer reports to the ICT Account Manager and is responsible for delivering a range of specialist technical services to support departmental ICT network infrastructure and IT systems across South Australia. The role includes high‐level customer service providing second and third level support and technical advice to Education system users.
The Senior ICT Support Officer identifies and applies relevant innovative strategies, policies and processes to achieve successful outcomes in installing, maintaining and troubleshooting systems both independently and in collaboration with team members or ICT providers and vendors. The role also contributes to the development of ICT documentation, including procedures, standards and policies, and ensures the department's service management tool is regularly updated with accurate incident and request information.
Responsibilities
* Deliver second and third level IT support to Education system users.
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot ICT infrastructure and applications.
* Apply innovative strategies, policies, and processes to achieve successful outcomes.
* Collaborate with team members, ICT providers, and vendors.
* Contribute to the creation and maintenance of ICT system documentation.
* Update the service management tool with incident and request details.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable:
* Qualification in Information Technology, Software, or Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of non‐Microsoft ICT infrastructure, software or technologies relevant to Education.
* Experience in Education‐based operating and ICT infrastructure systems, LAN/WAN equipment and ITIL methodology.
Special Conditions
* Must obtain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment, renewed every five years.
* Must complete RRHAN‐EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead Masterclass or online Fundamentals course and update every three years.
Remuneration
ASO5 salary of $89,007 – $98,991 per annum (1.0 FTE) plus superannuation (12%) and leave loading.
