About the Assignment
To deliver quality and effective transactional accounting services to the Barossa Project. This will be delivered in line with company values and the Santos Management System.
Tasks include:
Ensure invoices received are verified against Outline Agreement/Quotation approved by the appropriate authority
SES invoices and submit to Accounts in line with agreed payment terms
Ensure all payment allocations are directed to the appropriate cost accounts
Ensure invoices are approved to the correct authority
Liaise with vendors as required
Ensure smooth transition between cost system interfaces
Raise requisitions as required
Process all contractor invoices on a monthly basis
Maintain a high level of communication with managers/ engineers to ensure smooth process for invoice verification and vendor management
Maintain a high level of communication with Accounts Payable to ensure smooth transition to payment
Assist in Project Closeout in all matters relating to cost transactions and Purchase orders.
Participate in process improvement projects across Project Services
Additional activities as required by the Project Services Manager / Lead Cost Controller
This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.
Location for this assignment is Perth working full-time office hours
About You
Accounting/Business diploma (preferred)
Experience in a cost and transactional processing role
Ability to prepare and coordinate approval of invoices and management of vendors
Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills.
Proficient in using computer software systems and MS Office suite of tools
Analytical/technical skills with a practical approach to problem solving.
SAP experience (desirable)
Part time applicants will be considered (3 or 4 days week).
