About the Role
An opportunity to join a thriving national General Insurance practice, working alongside a highly regarded team in Melbourne. This role focuses on defending complex claims against professionals across a range of industries, including:
* Construction, financial services, and legal sectors
* Health and medical sector (medical malpractice)
* Matters involving large loss and high-stakes litigation
You'll have carriage of your own files with support from industry-leading partners, and be involved in:
* Strategy and client interaction
* Drafting court documents and client advices
* Preparing briefs and evidence
* Conferencing with witnesses and experts
* Attending court and managing proceedings
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone with:
* At least five years' post-admission experience in general insurance law
* Strong background in professional indemnity matters
* Proficiency in drafting coverage advices
* Experience running matters through court proceedings
* A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in defendant insurance
* Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
