You'll work directly with our Lead designers and engineers, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle — from concept and detailed design through to fabrication, construction and commissioning. We are looking for aSenior Mechanical Designer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical concepts for bulk materials, crushing, screening, conveying and process systems based on project requirements.
Produce 3D models of mechanical systems for manufacturing
Document and review mechanical design packages including GA layouts, mechanical, fabrication and machining drawings, and BOMs.
Prepare P&IDs (mechanically oriented) and interface with electrical teams.
Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams.
Participate in layout reviews, HAZOPs, SiD workshops, and vendor meetings.
Provide design support during fabrication, site installation, and commissioning.
8+years experience as a Mechanical Designer
Mechanical design experience within industrial plants, bulk materials handling plants or complex mechanical environments
In depth understanding of engineering principles to effectively resolve design challenges in a timely manner
High-level proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Understanding of Australian Standards, industry regulations and HSE practices.
Ability to work under pressure with fast-paced EPC schedules.
The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a multi-discipline team environment.
Keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to producing deliverables.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
