About This Opportunity
We're searching for a dynamic and detail-oriented
Marketing Executive
to drive marketing excellence across the NBL's growing portfolio of brands.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Brand Manager, this role is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns across NBL1, 3x3Hustle, DreamCourts, Hoop City, NBL Store, and NBL Topps. You'll drive fan engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness while supporting broader NBL Season initiatives.
What You'll Do
Marketing Campaign Management & Execution
Manage multi-channel marketing campaigns across NBL brands including NBL1, 3x3Hustle, DreamCourts and Hoop City
Coordinate retail campaigns for NBL Store and NBL Topps, ensuring alignment with League branding
Execute partner deliverables and track performance for compliance
Develop marketing materials ensuring brand consistency and stakeholder sign-off
Support NBL Season campaigns and tentpole moments where required
Brief design and content teams on creative requirements
Internal & External Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with NBL departments (Digital, Commercial, Media & Comms) and external partners
Work with NBL1 and NBL Brand stakeholders including teams and associations
Maintain communications and documentation for partner campaigns
Participate in stakeholder meetings with campaign updates
Brief digital and creative teams on website and platform requirements
Measurement & Reporting
Monitor campaign metrics including fan engagement, lead generation, and consumption behaviour
Use analytics to optimise strategies and report ROI to stakeholders
Establish tracking and performance monitoring systems
Benchmark against competitors and identify new opportunities
Prepare post-campaign performance summaries
What We're Looking For
Essential
2–4 years of experience in marketing, ideally within sports, entertainment, or digital brand environments
Strong understanding of campaign execution across digital, social media, and traditional marketing platforms
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
Experience coordinating marketing assets and media plans with internal and external stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear briefs and campaign summaries
A proactive, adaptable, and creative mindset with a passion for sports and brand storytelling
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, marketing software, CRM/email marketing platforms, and social media scheduling tools
Bonus Points For
Event support or onsite campaign experience
Experience with analytics platforms and campaign performance reporting
Knowledge of the Australian basketball landscape and NBL ecosystem
