About the role
Located just 45 kilometers from Melbourne, the Macedon Ranges Shire is well known for its rural character, high quality landscape, both natural and built environment and the village feel of our established regional centres, towns and settlements. As the Coordinator of Statutory Planning and Compliance you will work as part of our planning leadership team to support, lead and develop the Statutory Planning Unit in order to achieve team, unit and organisational objectives. You will manage the day-to-day operations of a team of statutory planning professionals to deliver high quality, efficient and customer service focused planning outcomes; and manage a caseload of complex planning approvals. You will also oversee the planning compliance functions of the unit.
About you
To be successful in the role you will hold relevant qualifications and extensive experience in Statutory Planning which allows you to interpret and apply planning policy and legislation in a practical fashion and solve complex planning problems. You will hold strong leadership capabilities, be able to manage a diverse team and be an excellent communicator with a focus on providing high quality customer service and positive planning outcomes.

We support flexible working arrangements. This role is initially office-based for onboarding, with hybrid work available in the future once established in the role, subject to manager approval and operational needs.
