About Banking and Projects
Our banking team advises Australian and international financial institutions, investment banks, corporations and private equity funds. We represent lenders, borrowers, sponsors and consortia on high-value corporate transactions and complex restructuring projects. We regularly act for lenders, borrowers, arrangers and investors and we understand the different commercial drivers in our clients' transactions. We anticipate key legal and commercial issues likely to arise in any transaction and guide our clients through them.
Our Perth Banking and Projects team advises major Australian and international lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investors across project finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance and restructuring. You'll work with Partners Dom McGreal and Trish Chapman, who bring decades of experience in mining, energy, resources and infrastructure finance, and joined G+T following our integration with Wright Legal in 2024.
Dom is a trusted advisor on complex financing structures, derivatives and offtake arrangements, with a strong focus on mining, energy and infrastructure. His recent work includes Macmahon Holding's replacement and upsizing of the $550 million syndicated debt facility, Catalyst Metals on the $110 million syndicated debt facility and MAC Copper on steps relating to financing, metal streaming and royalty arrangements associated with its $1.6 billion acquisition by NYSE and JSE-listed Harmony Gold Mining by way of an all-cash scheme of arrangement. Named Lawyer of the Year for Asset Finance Law (Best Lawyers 2026), Dom was previously a Director of Wright Legal, WA's top boutique finance practice.
Trish specialises in project finance, streaming and royalty deals, and corporate lending, particularly in the mining and resources sectors. She's advised on major transactions such as Bellevue Gold's $200 million financing, Genesis' Gwalia acquisition and Northern Star's $1 billion corporate facilities. Recognised as Lawyer of the Year in Project Finance (WA), Trish was a Director at Wright Legal before joining G+T.
About you
As our ideal candidate you should be motivated to contribute to complex, high-impact transactions in a supportive team, technically challenging transactions in a relaxed environment. In addition, you will have:
* Four plus years' PQE in banking and finance transactions with a focus on leveraged, acquisition, project and/or corporate and real estate finance.
* A proactive and solutions-focused mindset to navigate complex matters collaboratively and make the most of opportunities presented
* Exceptional drafting and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* The ability to work effectively with clients and peers at all levels
* Comfort working both autonomously and collaboratively with others"
